Sowing Seeds of Love and Abundance

To all of our Family, Friends, Loved Ones, Partners, Comrades, Supporters, Followers, Government Officials, and fellow Earth keepers:

The Urban Creators stands proudly and proclaims — Black Lives Matter.

We are a Black-led organization inside a Black community, and we exist to meet the needs of our People. Everyday we experience the well-documented institutional racism that is so deeply ingrained within American society, and we know that its many systems of oppression must unravel in order for true justice to be realized for our people.  The historical and present-day effects of systemic racism have created a world where many of us are trapped in generational poverty reinforced by food insecurity, housing inequality, failing schools, police brutality, and mass incarceration

As farmers, artists, organizers, and social entrepreneurs, the Urban Creators are committed to the fight for freedom, justice and equality for all. We hold a vision for liberation that dismantles anti-Black racism, settler colonialism, racial capitalism, patriarchy, homophobia, and transphobia, and we will continue using every resource we can to educate and inspire our people.  We will continue sowing seeds of resilience to nurture abundance and grow love, peace, and acceptance.  Moreover, we honor the ancestors and the land by continuing to grow fresh food, celebrating our history and culture, and supporting the struggle for self-determination.

We would like to thank all the folks who are fighting with us, We see you! Know that we appreciate you supporting our Life Do Grow initiatives. Through our collective work and responsibility, together we will achieve our collective liberation.

Thank You!
