Mobile Market 2.0

New Locations, Neighborhood Marketplace, and Free Breakfast Program
 

After 15 amazing weeks of running our Mobile Market throughout North Philly, we are ready to embrace the transition into fall and will be refocusing our efforts towards our more immediate neighborhood with an increased focus on building food sovereignty and economic opportunity in North Philly. Starting THIS week, our new Market 2.0 will include:

– Tuesday Mobile Markets at three new locations (Penrose Recreation Center, Fairhill, and the Hartranft Playground).

– Wednesday Neighborhood Marketplace at Life Do Grow farm, which will include our farmers market, fresh meals, books, art, music, community programming, and vendors from our local and extended community

– Thursday Free Breakfast Program for local youth and families, as well as holding space for an after school drop-in center for school children.

Please join us during any of these weekly events to buy fresh produce, support local businesses, and learn more about local resources and opportunities to support social & environmental justice.

 

 

 

WE REACHED OUR GOAL!

We also wanted to send out a special thanks to everyone who contributed to our fundraising campaign last week! Thanks your generous contributions and the support of our partners at USLI, we will be able to install a brand new high tunnel and water filtration at Life Do Grow in time for our 2021 season!

The very next Summer I performed at Hoodstock again and went off to a music college for Recording Arts so I could learn how to engineer my own studio sessions. After I came home I worked at the farm for the Summer putting a game plan together and I was able to get a LLC for my company”
